ok sorry but I don't see how he was in real danger did the kid have a gun? did the kid say he was gonna murder him wait actually I don't care, the fact that someone can kill someone else and then pass it off as self defence shocks me, I was thinking about how terrible the system was in Australia but it's nothing like this if you let people get away with murder your country is ****ed seriously and truly ****ed.
If I have helped in anyway at all a +rep will be appreciated lots

Also Dill's comment about Ancient Greece amuses me, they didn't use diplomacy as we think they did, they used it for a few hundred years and then decided that it was a **** theory and abolished **** like diplomatics and rights and jurys.

I'm sorry, but now you're just being flat out ******ed.
I bet you're one of those idealistic idiots who sees the world in black and white and just can't stand the thought of something wrong being done.
Sometimes 'murder' can be justified, deal with it.
Your grammar is also terrible, but I guess that's to be expected with all the other stupidity in your comment.

@ Searz well ok murder can be justified, so you are saying if I killed a man because he threatened me that would be ok that it would be fine and noone would care, the family would go on and life would just continue, I don't see the world in black and white and well to be honest my grammar is **** because I can't really be bothered adding in all that punctuation. anyway back onto the killing thing, you are saying that this was a justified murder and that this Zimmerman man was fully within his rights to take the life of another man, well who is he to play god? who is he to say whether someone lives or dies? and no murder is justified because people are affected, the family of Trayvon Martin, how do you think they feel? Do they deserve to have their son taken away? there is no such thing as justified murder you see people that have been suspected of drug dealing kill a cops and get time for it and everyone agrees they should, but what if they were innocent and the cops assaulted them and they turn around and defend themselves, not even with a weapon but say trying to get the cops to drop their guns or even just yelling at them are you telling me that an innocent person can be killed with no repercussions on the killer? If you honestly think that you really need to go to a psychiatrist coz the inner sociopath might not be so inner for much longer.
Edit: You know what now that I think of it yeah maybe I was wrong, maybe Zimmerman isn't to blame, what is to blame is the law, come to think of it, in Australia if you shoot someone in self defence you get the charge, now while I'm not saying that is right either, the fact that you can kill someone even for suspicion of them attacking you is ********. Also regarding the case there are witness accounts of Martin beating Zimmerman, but also witness accounts that nothing like that had happened, I think guilty until proven innocent would be the right thing to go by here because if Zimmeman was inncent he would have nothing to be worried about and innocence is ensured. but nope let the jury be swayed by that graph great going America let adults murder kids.
Edit2: If Martin was beating Zimmermna why weren't there any marks or cuts on his knuckles? how did Zimmerman have just 3 small welts on his head if it was and i quote "slammed" into the ground multiple times? How is a big guys like Zimmerman not able to defend himself without the need of a gun when Martin is obviously a lot lighter than him?
This is not the head of a man who's skull was slammed into the ground multiple times, and if even if his head was slammed multiple times, how do you get your gun out and shoot someone in the chest accurately without swaying and making the shot move to the sides? if you had your head slammed into the ground I can tell you you would either 1. be knocked out cold or 2. be extremely disoriented and not be able to grab your gun out of your pocket or wherever you store it, while underneath someone else being assaulted let alone shoot him while he is moving on top of you?
Edit3: responding to your earlier post Searz if Zimmerman was in such danger that he could justify it as being scared for his life why did the doctor that examined him say that his "injuries" were not life threatening and very insignificant? I pity all you poor bastards that live in a country with drooling mouth-breathers that think getting hit once or twice is enough reason to kill someone.

ok. so you'd rather let a possible criminal roam the streets and possibly perpetrate again as opposed to letting a possibly innocent man spend a few days in a cooldown cell (or w/e the **** they are called) in the police department and then be let free because they know he is innocent?
Edit: on the perpetrate again thing, it might be a one off and the killer or w/e type of criminal just did it once, would you still rather have someone let free than brought to justice?

OK looking back at this thread I've realised it's turned into a complete *****torm and I have had an influence on that, also some of the comments I've made as backlashes to offensive posts have been way more toxic than necessary and that I have completely bypassed one of the personal rules I follow of everyone has an opinion and have been trying to ram mine down others' throats like a mormon doorknocker, I am sorry for this as I have responded rashly and while I do still believe that my argument is correct as it is my opinion I will no longer argue against the other people as ultimately I have realised that it just comes down as to how the evidence was perceived by individuals including myself and that the differences have sparked a massive argument, while I do not necessarily believe that I am completely to blame, I realise that I have angered quite a few people with my opinions as they have angered me with theirs. I am sorry for this and realise now that I should respect people's opinions even if I do not agree with them, as I wish others would to mine as a part of the whole mutual respect thing I also have found out that slight differences in interpretation can lead to massive arguments such as how I interpreted the law and the evidence in this particular case.
So again sincere apologies.
Edit: I have no right asking for this thread to be locked.

what? it was just an example and the whole guilty until proven innocent thing could also just be house arrest I was speaking hypothetically I didn't mean literally lock him up, now as I have already stated that I believe I overreacted and was clearly being a bit of a **** I will not grace this topic with anymore responses (if I do please point me out on it as it will most likely be at 4am when I'm pretty much ready to pass out from being tired but am too stubborn to go to bed).

Well because a rotting piece of paper signed by the founding fathers (forgive me if this is wrong) said something about everyone having the right to a gun. Also it wouldn't be Murica if there weren't any guns, also I think Canada and Australia are similar in many ways I won't go into it now though.

I agree with Phey here, why should someone be able to kill someone if they feel threatened, they aren't actually but y'know, say there's a black kid walking down the street and he just looks at this white guy, the white guy could and most likely would be a racist **** and think that because a black guys looked at him he is gonna get mugged, now he feels threatened so he shoots him to protect himself is that fair? even if the guys punches him you shouldn't be able to kill a guy for punching you, I'd be dead a hundred times over if that was the case.
Get a ****ing clue before you write stupid **** like this..
Zimmerman was in real danger, hence the verdict. Just read the ****ing thread.
1. if you are 45 being beaten by 2 at the same time, good luck drawing your gun.
2. i brought you a matter of proportion, you respond with a case related hypothesis? why 2 people? He was minding his business? Are you allowed to carry a gun on the street? (if yes, you are twisted people)
3. I presume you think it's plain fair to take a life for a punch (not worried about how many punches are), when shooting a chest is probably as easy as shooting a leg.
4. If you want to advocate allowing anybody to use any tool without proper knowledge and training, go ahead and jump right on a Swat team. while you're at it, perform surgery on your family.
5. I'm here so you can learn to read stuff thoroughly, hopefully not jumping to conclusions. maybe someday you'll get it.
6. Chasing suspicious people is rather stupid, and you should know it. Zimmerman was looking for trouble.
7. Juries in trials are and will always be a joke. hardly a judge will be impartial, so even worse bringging commoners to decide on this (a graph!, a fancy graph!) he took a a life, ffs, free as a bird.
well, i'll just go and kill some people, saying it was self defence. no accountibility, thank you!
I'm sorry, but there's just a lot of stupidity on display here.
Most of your points are huge exaggerations, based on false or non-existent information or just plain irrelevant.
I'm just gonna pitch in on your nr.6:
Of course was looking for trouble, he was part of the ****ing neighborhood watch. *facepalm*
And Throatslashers comment was just plain irrelevant, in case you didn't get that..
1 and 3 completely contradict each other, Zimmerman was getting punched and beat on a sidewalk so can you please explain to me how its a "goodluck getting your gun out" and "shooting someone in the leg is as easy as shooting in the chest" ESPECIALLY WHEN TRAYVON IS ON TOP OF ZIMMERMAN
2 you somehow contradict your original post because YES Zimmerman is allowed to carry a gun in the state of Florida (if i remember correctly he was a part of the city watch in a bad neighborhood that has been having reported break ins) NO it doesnt matter if Trayvon was minding his business Zimmerman as a neighborhood watchman is allowed to walk up to Trayvon and ask him what hes doing at that time of night
im just going to ignore number 5 because you never post anything thorough so how can we read something thoroughly?
as for number 7, if theyre a joke then how come theyre used today after being used since well...ancient Greece, if they were such a joke dont you think a better system would be created and used by now?
You're making as little sense as he is.
Your point about what is needed for a weapon was good(point 4), but all of the above is as clueless and wrong as what Pheyniex wrote.
