If you want to make corki hit harder grab some ap centralized runes and ap centralized masteries. I play corki ad but I use HP Quints, Magic Pen Marks, Mana regen per level seals and ap per level glyphs. It helps me harass harder early game with my Q. However, I play skill heavy. If you are auto attack heavy then just stay AD.
But like I said, I use AP geared runes and masteries but I build AD.

@Searz: I took those things into account. It's not optimal, question is can it be viable in some cpacity. Your points are valid, but I'm looking past the things that are obvious. If that makes sense.

Well, I'm not a good player. So a positive record for me would be an equalized KDR. I also fear feeding so I'm sometimes not exactly forefront to get kills or anything like that. But there are the occasional games where I go like 8/2/6 ish. Kinda a good game for me. bleh
I think that the AP early on really makes ur Phosphorous Shot deal a lot of damage. If I can't score first blood (since I take flash/clarity) I can at least zone out the enemy champions.
But like I said, don't build hybrid. Build AD, and if you want some "umph" early on, then get ap runes.
Oh, also, the thing my team (PHD: "Play Hard D" (defense)) likes the most about my AP runes is being able to bypass the opposing armor because my Ulti is hitting with magic damage as well. Often I can shoot off a missile and get the enemy as they attempt to flee.

Flat AP runes on Corki are actually viable. If you're playing him 21/0/9 like a lot of people have been recently (Chaox) and going Doran's Blade for early game aggression, you can have some pretty powerful burst.
But late game, you're an AD carry. AP is **** on him. He has no burst damage late-game because his ratios are terrible and if you want a magic DPS champion, play Ryze, whose Q outclasses Corki's missiles late-game.

It would make Corki quite tanky and have some severe nukage. But his sustained DPS would fall off considerably. It's something I will for sure screw around with, then again they are possibly nerfing corki so this whole idea might **** the bed.
