I love chalice. It can win lanes for spam happy laners against ap. I bought it the only time I rlly lost a mid on talon and ended up surviving Annie burst and raking her all day. Not saying it's better then brutalizer but it is a nice early buy

Chalice of Harmony is underrated. I guess champions that need a slight bit tankyness for MR, especially against a solo top magic damage-based opponent, its good, especially if you need the mana. Philosopher's stone is more popular for health regen and gold gain, but champions who dominate the lanes, like Nasus or Galio, with giant mana problems, ESPECIALLY against a magic-based solo top opponent, its good. The gold gain is unimportant if you get to farm like a boss.
