Pretty much what these guys said. He seems to scale with AD really well and most of the time just a few attack speed items/runes/masteries are enough to have a good responsive autoattack (over 1.0 AS is fine)

It's funny cause I always get to 0.99 when I look at my atk speed haha..But the only speed item I think is reasonable is

The only 2 AS items I have ever considered getting on him were Wit's End and Trinity Force. Other than that, he doesn't need a lot of AS. It is fun though to do a full AS Jayce if you're just messing around.
