Banner of Command anyway, which actually gives AP. Also,
Elixir of Sorcery.



100 ap. Plus runes and masteries, you'll have about 120-130 ap. Heimer's scalings on his base abilities are fairly low, with his turrets having a .15 ap ratio on basic attacks, and .55 on beam, which can be dodged and takes time to charge. His grenade is .6, and his rockets are .45 ap, scaling up to .81 if all 5 rockets hit. His upgraded ability scalings are .3 on basic attacks and .7 on beam on the turret, and 1.83 if you can hit the entire wave of rockets. At 130 ap, that's 19.5 bonus damage on the turret attacks, 71.5 on beam, 78 on grenade, 58.5 on individual rockets, 105.3 if all rockets hit, 39 on apex turret basic attacks, 91 on apex turret beams. and 237.9 on the full wave of rockets. You can only ult one ability in a team fight, and the same problems remain: people can walk away from your turrets, avoid fighting in them, and heimer's late game still is poor. If you choose turret, people walk off. If you choose grenade, you hit the big stun and nothing else. You choose rockets, and you do some damage and go back to doing nothing. And those rockets don't hit the same way as they do going full ap. The only difference is that you can't split push and be able to chunk anyone who comes to stop you, like every other heimer.

500 ap is still more useful than 100 ap. And the turrets continuously attacking will be huge. With little ap, they don't do anything. You could be as tanky as you want, but a heimer with just a zhonyas and his turrets placed well will be more useful than you.

Heim or Mundo support can both be EXTREMELY strong. Mundo throws his cleavers into the opposing carry/suports face every time he gets the chance too and can rush sighstone (getting ruby crystal when the game starts) to help see the jungler too since you attract a lot of attention when your pounding on a lane. Heim just places his turrets at key points and area controlls the heck out of the lane.
Heimer NEEDS AP to do anything, even if its just supporting. I learned that full-AP supports do a lot more for their ADC than say a Nami building pure tank (

Also you want to kill mundo? Blade of the ruined king is nice, and percent health spells exist. Also mundo would be tankier almost always due to base stats and a better source of gold, so it's more like killing an underfed and underfarmed mundo, which isn't as hard. And mundo can go fast, and has a spell which gives tenacity, and boots, and a much better way of peeling himself with his q.
