smite is in def tree now, so unless you're running ghost, ignite, exhaust, etc, the 1 point in offence isn't needed.
bladed armor is only 9, so you don't have to commit 10 points for that
also, you don't need awareness at all.
I think this is to make jungling a lot MORE versatile tbh :P

they changed the xp bonus of all jungle camps so that you dont have to run awareness to get the same amount of xp as before. minions and champions will still give the same amount of xp however.

Yeah I didn't hear about ninja buff to neatral exp, that changes it completely, then you're not locked in, The point in offense was to grab at least one (prob both) of the minion damage +2/4, not for smite. Also improved smith only gives bonus gold now not the CD reduction so it's not needed, although I will stil be grabbing it, It is much more versatile if the ninja buff is true, so far I haven't found the link or confirm n it

X/X/0 helps a lot of junglers in speed now.
Olaf remains healthy enough to not die to a level 1 Karthus ult with 9/21/0.
I think I'm going to experiment with other setups without the mastery and see how much it changes speed-wise.

It will be fine and you don't need to go utility for EXP.
You can take your choice of offense and defense or even utility, however you'd prefer.
You are NOT forced to take utility for your junglers.
You never were, I might add.

Maybe for those laners that just explode at lvl6 like LB :P, or rumble that just gets more aggressive as he lvls up.

found confirmation of exp changes to Jungle so this thread can die in peace.. Sorry about that I hadn't heard!
So all the new masteries right? yeah about that... I think us junglers have some interesting choices now. Just a few things I noticed.
The other problem with this is hardcore gank builds. You can't run full Offense tree without grabbing exp quints, which means you'd have to give up move speed quints. I have to say that I'm not sure I like that all that much and that ganks might be a little harder on some of melee gank junglers like
I suppose the long and short of it is that if you jungle you have to go utility, there are tons of great things in the tree and they finally made perseverance worth something, but I still don't like having to commit to it.

I feel like Junglers are kind of locked into at least a "1/10/17" build and there isn't much else customization from there. I plan on fooling around with some of my Philosopher's Stone routes because they really seem to be the only ones that are different that can still be viable with a Tank-Jungle Meta.
Has anyone else considered alternative routes/Champs/Rune set-ups since the advent of these new Masteries?
