If another opinion still matters
--> Pick the one for the right job
I personally pick Trundle when the enemy has a lot of "walkers" = Champs with no blink/movement ability. Not only when ganking, but also later it's really easy to catch people with the pillar.
However, he is not quiet as much of a disruptor/tank/burst damage lategame as Cho.
--> I recommend picking Trundle when the enemy has a lot of "walkers", else Cho. Why not keeping the option of both? ^^

You wanna be a safe and controlling jungler. Pick cho'gath
You forgot one of the most versatile in the game in almost all aspects of jungling

Cho is amazing, in and out of the jungle. But he just rocks solo top so hard, I feel that that's the better place for him! But when I jungle as him, I can do whatever I want, pretty much. Almost... bordering on aimless. I'm like a kid in a candy store lol
I just feel more appeal to jungle as trundle.
But that's not the point! Let's make this a simple points system.
Who has the better:
Control
Counter-Jungling
Ganks
Versatility(this is obviously going to cho, but trundle is definitely one of the more flexible junglers)

Counter jungle is advantage Trundle~
Ganks are equal for different reasons, both are incredibly strong. Pop up owns, omnom owns, silence owns - Pillar, move speed, life steal resistance breaker owns. tie~ (Although in all honesty, Cho Gath ganks are bananas and I mildly prefer Cho's ganks once he has lvl 6.
Map control is pretty even~ Cho Gath clear small camp in seconds if you level E, and leveling E is fine to do, since a pop up into Red Buff means you have them slowed. Auto attacks are okay. Trundle however clears golems faster, since Wriggle's is so good on him, and dragons, and etc.
So speed goes comfortably to Cho Gath, meaning more cleared jungles / early gold in your pocket and more time to gank early. Trundle however lands dragons and Barons better, so during the mid game as a strict "Jungler" Trundle has an objective speed advantage. However Cho has the Baron secure ult the Dragon secure ult, so again, I'd call it a tie~
Versatility of course goes to Cho~
All in all though, don't compare them too much. They're both excellent in their own respects. They both do their own jobs exceptionally well.

It's a tough comparison, but Duff, you have shed more light on this than anyone... thouugh i think trundle, on certain paths, clears faster than cho.... wait a second. 3 aoe. Initial clear is definitely cho'gath's, but mid game, I agree, trundle is better. However, Cho'Gath has the best dragon and baron security in the game.
I do however disagree on ganks. Cho has fierce ganks, but only if he lands a good rupture! Trundle needs only cut them off, removing the timing aspect from the equation largely. Plus, he does better if the lane you're ganking has any form of cc, since he kills much quicker than cho. A red buff on Trundle pretty much means game over. So, while both are fairly even on ganks, I have to give it to trundle. Both have great ganks, but trundle does it on a more consistent and achievable basis.

I don't care about my rep, but you can +rep if you want to.
I should say Trundle was one of the champs I used to get gold with in Season 1, and I jungle Cho Gath all the time now :3 These are champs I am fairly comfortable with. ^^

Trundle is better and safer.
Fiddlesticks is far faster(considering you have blue) and can do it easily at level 4.
