Which Dota 2 ideas could make League of Legends...

A very special theory crafting is this one. Because it also includes a different game. The question is just, which things did Dota 2 better than League of Legends and how they could improve League of Legends.

I myself didn't play dota 2 by now but at least I watched some vids about it. One Hero is really interesting, a meele carry, Skeleton King.

If you would compare Skeleton King to a LoL-champ, it would be definitly Tryndamere. Lets look a bit deeper into him.

Skeleton King



Q: This is a stun which reminds me a bit on Sion's. It is a pretty good stun early, but requires a hell lot of mana. 2 Stuns and you are out of mana. This already shows that Skeleton King will be best lategame. It also slows the enemy 2 seconds after the stun ended, making it a cc which lasts 4 seconds.

W: Basically, zeke's herald lifesteal as an ability. Earlygame it is only usefull for jungling or lvl 1 Roshan with Ursa. Otherwise it does pretty much nothing. Lategame, combine it with Armlet of Mordiggian(gives you AD, AS and Strength for 40 health per second on active) as you can easily survive the damage. It also syncs well with his E.

E: Basically, a combination of Tryndamere's old Bloodlust and his fury bar, but constant. Means it gives CrD and CrC. Similar to his W, it is garbage early and only usefull lategame. But then, it strikes really hard. I think I don't have to explain why.

R: HI I AM TRYNDAMERE! Wait what? This is the ability which makes Tryndamere and Skeleton King so similar. But it has a very important diference. While Tryndamere can't die for 5 seconds, Skeleton King just revives with full HP and Mana. How OP would be that? Wait, wait, it has a serious problem. It only actives if you have over 140 Mana, so if you **** up your mana you will just die and that is pretty easy with his Q, especially early.

Team Battle from Stonewall:

So, now we know a bit more about Skeleton King, but now you think, why I did that, well, Tryndamere is basically an underused champ and the definiton of a meele carry. Why in LoL things can't work, while in DotA they can?

I think, the main thing which differs those two champs, is that Tryndamere has at least some earlygame power, but for that a weaker lategame. If you look at Skeleton King, he has no earlygame at all (1 stun, lol), but for that, has an insane lategame. I think this is exact the thing that makes meele ad-carries in LoL unviable.

So, make every meele ad-carry in the earlygame totally useless, but lategame gamebreaking OP, scaling mostly with gold. This way they could replace the ranged carries in some games and create a whole new Meta themself. For example, a Soraka + meele ad-carry lane could work well.

I already had this idea once to transform Master Yi into something like that: AP/AS YI

I had written a blog on this topic actually. Here are some of the important facts people pointed out regarding how LoL can be improved/be more like DOTA2

"I did hear that all Dota champs are unlocked, so you don't have to unlock champions,"

"The options you have with items, builds and the gameplay is so complex it's almost infinite. Just the fact that the level cap is 25 and you get to choose if you want attribute points or skills make it an entire different game. Getting attributes over skills will give you survivability and mana early game."

" Not to mention Steam. With Steam, users are creating customization items, and often they are put in the game. Plus you buy the items with actual money, not buying something like RP then buying skins."

Guys, if you want to make LoL more Dota like, just fu**ing start playing DotA2...

Enough times already it was said that LoL is not DotA, if it's for the better or worse is up to personal opinion and that's it.


The stuff you mentioned just results in some major Bull seeing that LoL is not going the same direction as DotA:

LoL trying to keep everything in balance and fair (like I said, up to personal opinion if this works)

DotA is like op'ing simply everything to strike a "balance" and just leave it up to the communtiy to come up with counter measures against certain skills/champs/combos. (Same as above)

Here is a simple one...Have a tower indicator like DOTA 2 has that has different segments that darken when a tower is down.

Another important thing for LoL to get: Replay System. I hope DotA 2 will get on the same level like LoL so Riot has to work harder on there game and improve more stuff.

BTW: I never said DotA 2 would be better than LoL. For example, learning curve vs learning cliff, the curve is defenitly better. Also, AP. And finally, the balance.
