TFT Magic n' Mayhem Patch 14.16

Magic n' Mayhem has received its first update! Read on to learn about all the changes that have gone live on Wednesday in Teamfight Tactics, including four new charms, and dozens of Augment adjustments!

 In a Nutshell ‎ 

As expected when a new set rolls into town, this very first Magic n' Mayhem Patch is a big one! For the most part, this patch is very buff-oriented, with several traits getting large buffs, as well as many Charms and Augments. Four new Charms have been added as well!


The nerfs target a few over-performing 2-cost units, including Syndra, Kog'Maw, and Kassadin.  Five items have received changes in this patch, and all of them have been nerfs as well.


The most exciting changes likely concern trait Augments like Witchy Wallop, High Horsepower, and Molten Caramel. Poppy, Lillia, and Rumble, respectively, all look a lot more tantalising now. Try out one of these units in the next couple of weeks and see if the  buffs are as good as they sound on paper, if you can get your hands on any of these Augments!

 Rotating Shop Infographic ‎

Several newcomers arrive to the Rotating Shop. The two most exciting additions are Chibi Space Groove Blitzcrank and Chibi Prestige Cafe Cuties Gwen. Both can be purchased from the Mythic section of the Rotating Shop for 10 Mythic Medallions. You can also acquire the Chibi Space Groove Blitzcrank by opening Treasure Bounties in the Treasure Realms tab under TFT. Each Bounty requires 50 Treasure Tokens to open, which will run you 195 RP each time. Both Chibis will stick around for another three weeks.


Also in Treasure Realms, you can pull the mythical Chibi Battle Bunny Miss Fortune or the Le Bunny Bonbon Bistro arena. These two you can purchase in the Mythic Rotating Shop, also for 10 Mythic Medallions. As a reminder, you can only acquire Mythic Medallions by opening Treasure Bounties.


 Systems ‎

Golems

Golems have proven to be a touch too powerful, so they've been nerfed across the board. Golems now have 55 AD (down from 65), 550 Health (down from 600), and deal less damage at earlier stages. A Golem's Ability damage is now 300/480/750% AP, down from 335/500/750% AP.

  • Blaster Damage Amp: 8/15/30% > 12/25/45%

  • Blaster Damage Amp after cast: 25/45/90% > 25/50/90%


BUFF FAERIE / Lillia, Seraphine, Tristana, Katarina, Kalista, Rakan, Milio

  • Faerie Crown damage amp: 25/35/40/75% > 25/40/45/75%

  • Faerie (6) Queenguard’s Armor Healing/shielding power: 30% > 35%

  • Faerie Queenguard’s Armor Health: 100 > 150

  • Faerie Queenguard’s Armor Healing from Queen damage: 12% > 15%


BUFF FROST / Twitch, Warwick, Zilean, Hwei, Swain, Olaf, Diana

  • Frost AP/AD: 15/30/45/75% > 16/35/50/80%


NERF PRESERVER / Zilean, Bard, Rakan, Morgana

  • Preserver Healing: 2.5/4.5/7/10% HP > 2/4/6/9% HP

  • Preserver Mana gain: 3/5/8/12% > 3/5/7/11%

  • Preserver ticks while a unit is manalocked will now grant that mana after the manalock ends.


BUFF SCHOLAR / Zoe, Ahri, Bard, Ryze, Milio

  • Scholar Mana per attack: 3/5/10 > 3/6/12


BUFF WARRIOR / Akali, Nilah, Katarina, Fiora, Gwen

  • Warrior Damage Amp: 10/18/25% > 10/20/30%

  • Warrior Omnivamp: 10/18/25% > 10/20/30%


Unit Changes


TIER 1 UNITS

BUFF Seraphine - Now has a smaller mana pool, from 10/70 to 10/60.

BUFF Soraka - Her ability now deals more damage; from 180/270/405% AP to 195/290/440% AP.

BUFF Warwick - His ability now scales, and deals more damage across the board; from 50% AD to 55/55/65% AD.



TIER 2 UNITS

BUFF Ahri - Increased damage on her ability. Magic damage now scales from 40/210/325% AP, while true damage scales from 100/150/230% AP.

BUFF Galio - Now has increased damage reduction from his ability, from 15/20/25% of his AP to 20/25/30% of his AP.

NERF Kassadin - Kassadin's Ability stacking damage and Ability shield have both been nerfed. His shield is now 260/285/310% of his AP and his stacking damage has been lowered to  30/45/70% AP from 35/50/80% AP.

NERF Kog’Maw - Ability now deals less damage; from 290/300/325% AD to 280/280/290% AD.

BUFF ADJUST Shyvana - Shyvana - Her ability's scalings have been adjusted; from dealing 35/50/75% AP + 1.5% HP to dealing 45/65/100% AP + 1% HP. She is now classed as a "Magic Fighter" rather than a "Magic Tank".

NERF Syndra - Her ability now takes 1 second to cast instead of 0.3 seconds. The damage of the ability has been nerfed overall, now dealing 205/310/480% AP damage, 100/150/235% AP damage to adjacent enemies, and 30% bonus rift damage. Each value is lower than before.



TIER 3 UNITS

BUFF Katarina - Her ability now has stronger scaling; from 160/240/365% AP to 175/260/420% AP, and will therefore deal more damage.



TIER 4 UNITS

NERF Karma - No longer heals adjacent allies when an enemy dies.

BUFF Ryze - Now has slightly stronger AP scaling on his ability, and will therefore deal more damage. The ability scales from  85/130/300% AP, up from 80/120/300%.

BUFF Varus - Ability now has a shorter casting time; from 2.5 seconds to 1.5 seconds.



TIER 5 UNITS

BUFF Briar - Base AD has been increased from 60 to 65.


Augment Changes


SILVER AUGMENTS

BUFF Beggars Can Be Choosers - Now grants 7 gold instead of 4.

BUFF Find Your Center - Now offers 15% increased health, up from 10%, to units fielded in the center. This augment will no longer be offered at 2-1.

NERF Item Collector I - Each unit holding an item will now gain 5 Health, down from 10, among the other benefits.

NERF  Keepers I - Adjacent units will now gain a shield that soaks 160 damage, down from 175 damage.

BUFF Ones Twos Three - When selecting this augment, you'll now gain two 1-cost champions instead of three.

BUFF Restart Mission - After removing your whole board and bench, now gain three 2-star 2-costs, instead of only two.

BUFF Row Rejuvenation I - Your team now gains 8% Omnivamp, up from 7.



GOLD AUGMENTS

BUFF Avenge the Fallen - Bonus stats gained after 3 allies die increased to 18 from 15.

Built Different II - Now exclusive with the Augment “Two Tanky”.

BUFF Caramelized Comforts (Sugarcraft) - Sugarcraft units now gain 60 Health (up from 50) per item component they hold, and their chance to gain gold per item component has increased to 10%.

BUFF Clockwork Accelerator - The attack speed buff is now more frequent, occurring every 3 seconds instead of every 4.

NEW Endless Hunt (Hunter) - Has been renamed to “Hunting Frenzy.”

NEW Hunting Frenzy (Hunter) - This augment has been reworked and now does this: Your Hunters execute enemies below 12% health and gain 10% Attack Speed. Gain a Twitch and a Kog'Maw.

NERF Eternal Growth+ - Immediate health gain to Shapeshifter units has been lowered to 60 (from 100).

BUFF Explosive Growth+ - Experience gain per round increased to 11 from 10.

BUFF Fast Forward - After casting an ability, Chronomancers now gain 40% Attack Speed, up from 25%.

ADJUST Fortune Favors the Bold - The 8-10 loss cashouts have been nerfed, but the 13-14 loss cashounds have improved.

NERF Flexible  - Now gain a random Emblem at the start of the next 3 stages, rather than at the start of every stage.

BUFF High Horsepower - Your Lillia will now gain even more Attack Speed (100% > 150%) and Ability Damage Amp (235% > 300%)

BUFF Higher Education (Scholar) - Your Scholars now only need to spend 80 Mana to trigger the Attack Speed buff, down from 100. The Attack Speed buff is now 12%, up from 10%.

NERF Item Collector II  - For each item a unit is carrying, they'll now gain 10 Health, down from 15.

NERF Keepers II - Power of the start-of-combat Shield for adjacent units has gone down to 240 from 260.

BUFF Molten Caramel (Rumble) - Your Rumble will now gain even more Ability Damage Amp  (190% > 200%) and more Omnivamo (15% > 20%).

NERF Pilfer - No longer grants gold.

BUFF Practice Partners (Mage)  - Mages now grant 5 mana to allies when they cast an ability, up from 4.

NERF Press the Attack (Multistriker) - Every third attack will now deal 5% of a target's max Health, down from 5.5%.

BUFF Row Rejuvenation II  - Your team now gains 10% Omnivamp, up from 9%.

BUFF School Mascot (Eldritch) - The Old God will no longer have Rabadon's Deathcaps at 5 and 7 Eldritch. They will however have more bonus Health (5% > 10%) and Ability Power (10 > 30).

NERF Spellblades  - The next attack after one of your champions casts will now deal bonus magic damage equal to 150% of their Ability Power, down from 175%.

ADJUST Support Golem I  - No longer offered on 2-1.

NERF Sweet Tooth (Nunu)  - Your Nunu now gains 100 bonus Health, down from 200.

BUFF Three’s a Crowd  - Your team now gains 75 Health for each unique 3-cost champion on your board, up from 66.

ADJUST Trait Tracker - Now exclusive with Flexible.

NERF Two Healthy - Your team now gains 80 Health for each unique 2-cost champion on your board, down from 90.

BUFF Witchy Wallop (Poppy)  - Poppy's Ability will now deal more damage (80% AP > 85% AP) and the time between her wallops has been decreased to 0.15s.

BUFF Worth the Wait I - Now triggers after 2 rounds rather than 4.



PRISMATIC AUGMENTS

BUFF Anger Issues - All your Rageblades now grant 30 Armor and Magic Resist, up from 25.

NEW Assassin’s Toolbox -  Now grants a Prowler’s Claw and an Infinity Edge immediately.

NERF At What Cost - Bonus XP lowered to 8 from 16.

BUFF Dark Alley Dealings - Gain a Trickster’s Glass after 3 rounds now, instead of after 5.

NERF Giant and Mighty - Your team will now gain 300 Health, down from 325.

NERF Immovable Object - Your Randuin’s Omen’s effect has been lowered to 60% from 70%.

NERF Prismatic Ticket - No longer offered on 4-2. The free reroll chance has been decreased to 45% from 50%.

ADJUST Support Golem II - No longer offered on 2-1.

BUFF What The Forge - Champions now gain 220 Health per equipped Artifact, up from 110 Health.


Removed Augments

Three Augments have been removed from the game. Arcane Conduit (Gold) and Draconic Mastery (Gold) were two trait-linked Augments (Arcana and Dragon) that felt too weak and too difficult to pull off. On The House (Silver) also felt too weak, but a gold buff would have led to some exploitative gameplay. On The House had rewarded a player with 1 gold whenever they starred a unit.

MUNDANE ITEMS

NERF Dragon Claw - Now heals 2.5% of your Health every 2 seconds, down from 5%.


ARTIFACTS

NERF Blacksmith’s Gloves - Now grants 200 Health, down from 300.

NERF Mogul’s Mail - Now grants 150 Health, down from 200.



SUPPORT ITEMS

NERF Needlessly Big Gem - Your team now deals 5% bonus damage, down from 10. Additionally, the max Damage Amp is now 20%, down from 25%.



RADIANT ITEMS

NERF Dragon Will (Radiant) - Now grants 15% Max Health, down from 18%.

Charm Changes

Adjusted Charms

  • BUFF Backrow Star (2 ) - Cost has been lowered to 2g from 5g.

  • BUFF Enhance Cost (1 ) - Cost has been lowered to 1g from 2g.

  • BUFF Minor Gambit (1 ) - Now gain 3 gold if you win your next fight, up from 2 gold.

  • BUFF Phantom Emblem  (6 ) -  Cost has been lowered to 6g from 8g.

  • ADJUST Shivinate (1 ) -  Now offered on Stage 2 and Stage 3, and never on Stage 4.

  • NERF Summon Dragon (12 ) - The Dragon now has 405 AD, down from 450.

  • BUFF The Star (Ascendant) (5 ) - Cost has been lowered to 5g from 7g.

  • BUFF Tinker (0 ) - Cost has been lowered to 0g from 1g. Now offered all game.

  • BUFF Treasure Party (6 ) - Cost has been lowered to 6g from 8g.

New Charms

  • Copycat (1 ) - Get a 1-star copy of the first enemy unit to die next combat.

  • Spawn Swarm (4 ) - Next combat: Your first two front-row units spawn a voidling after death.

  • Ironclad Spirit (1 ) - Next combat: Your team gains 30 Armor.

  • Mystic Spirit (1 ) - Next combat: Your team gains 30 Magic Resist.

Removed Charms

  • Desperate Plea (5 ) - If you survive the first 10 seconds of the next combat, you can't be eliminated in the next round.

  • Gear Swap  (0 ) - Gain a Magnetic Remover and Reforger, which last for one round.


 Minor Changes ‎

Trait Changes

  • BUFF Bastion - Now gain more Armor and MR after Bastion 6; from 15/40/65/110 to 15/40/70/120.

  • NERF Chrono - Timestop from Chrono 4 is now resisted with CC immunity.

Unit Changes

  • BUFF Jayce - Now deals more damage with his Ability as they scale off more AP and AD. From 425/425/450% AD + 40/60/90% AP to 425/425/475% AD + 40/60/90% AP.

  • BUFF Lillia - Now has a smaller mana pool; 40/100, down from 50/110.

  • BUFF Galio  - Damage Reduction from Ability increased to 20/25/30% of his AP, up from 15/20/25% AP.

  • BUFF Wukong - Shield now scales better, from scaling off 330/440/550% AP to off of 380/460/550% AP.

  • BUFF Tahm Kench - Now has 1100 Health, up from 1050.

Augment Changes

  • BUFF ADJUST Bastion Crown - Now grants a Shen instead of a Nunu.

  • BUFF ADJUST Blaster Crown - Now grants an Ezreal instead of a Tristana.

  • ADJUST Blossoming Lotus I/II - No longer appear at Stage 2-1.

  • BUFF ADJUST Scholar Crown  - Now grants a Bard instead of an Ahri. Also grants a Spear of Shojin instead of a Guardbreaker.

  • BUFF Vertically Inclined - Damage Amp has increased to 9/18% from 8/16%. It will no longer appear at Stage 2.1.

 Hyper Roll Changes ‎

Dummy and Golem Changes

Dummies and Golems level up one stage later. I’m the Carry Now (Prismatic Augment) Golem stat multipliers adjusted to power up later than in regular play.

Trait Changes

Frost Soldiers spawned by Frost units now have lower bonus Health scaling in Hyper Roll: 200 > 110 per stage.

Removed Augments 

  • All That Shimmers/+ (Gold Augment)  is no longer available in Hyper Roll.

  • A Golden Quest (Gold Augment)  is no longer available in Hyper Roll.

  • An Upgraded Adventure (Prismatic Augment) is no longer available in Hyper Roll.
