Read on to learn about new Cosmetics Tiering system coming to the TFT store—live with Patch 14.5!
Patch 14.5, which is coming online on the 28th of May, will bring about a big change to the Cosmetic Tiering system in Teamfight Tactics. The new system is more straightforward, colour-coded, and should now more accurately tell you exactly what you’re getting when you purchase any given cosmetic.
Starting with Patch 14.5 and onwards, TFT Cosmetics will come in one of four possible tiers:
- Standard
- Legendary
- Mythic
- Prestige
Rare and Epic Tier Cosmetics are being combined into the new Standard Tier. This will ensure that the different cosmetic tiers have clear distinctions and features. Pricing for content in this tier will be set to the same as our current Rare tier. Items that can’t be starred-up with Star Shards will be designated as three-star by default.

Chibis
Unbound Tacticians

UX Changes
The Rotating Shop
These are a lot of changes, but a few User Experience changes have been implemented to make sure that everything is seamless! From now on, there will be a symbol in the Rotating Shop that displays each and every cosmetic’s rarity tier right at the top. The symbols have distinct shapes and colours, so you’ll know exactly where your coins are going.
The Loading Screen
You’ll even be able to tell which cosmetic tier everyone’s Little Legend is in the loading screen itself. The symbol representing the cosmetic tier is located at the bottom of each player’s banner.
The Pass
Finally, the Battle Pass will be slightly updated to more clearly indicate what each item in the Battle Pass is, as well as the Cosmetic Tier.
