League has gotten a lot harder?

I used to play league of legends religeously and was 1500 elo at one point. Then i quit due to school and when I came back I was just terrible at the game. I felt i still had the knowledge of the game but i would get wrecked by everyone i play against when it didnt happen previously. Its also been 2 weeks since ive come back and i still just cant get the hang of it... any advice? *I wreck arams btw for some reason*

I wouldn't say it's gotten harder, but it's certainly changed. A lot of champions have undergone changes and strong picks have changed a lot (and quite quickly too) over time.

Also more and more people are playing LoL so it's actually a possibility that LoL is getting harder (but also being filled with more noobs as well).

The only advice is to try to keep up with discussions of strong picks (see throatslasher's tier list) and try to see why this is the case. Then experiment by playing. There's no two ways about it. Go practice your mechanics and wreck some peeps.

    Wrong, wrong, wrong.

You're correct, as the game matures, the average skill level increases. Gold in season 1 is comparable to platinum in season 2 is comparable to diamond in season 3. Or maybe I have that backwards. I personally have noticed the skill level rise over the years as I've consistently smurfed bronze for 2-3 years. Now, there are people actually jungling in bronze! Dafuq???

League is still the same (maybe more toxic?), barring reworks of certain champions or items. The meta will always stay the same.

Everyone gets rusty and needs an adjustment period. In my opinion, it's like riding a bike. Practice and you'll get back to your original level of play, or better. The key is to be consistent and know what you did wrong and actively improving (replays help).

If all else fails, play Ryze. jk
