Ideal build for 'Solo Top' Nasus

Being relatively new to the game I have obtained my first champion, Nasus, and I have had several rounds with him at top and mid lane. It would be great if anybody were to give an ideal build layout for going all solo on top. A description on Items, Masteries and Runes would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks. :)

P.S. I have read multiple guides specifically for this type of build and I haven't found any success or improvement(s).

Nasus is one big hero to me ..

1- get a defensive built (masteries and runes)so you can do well early game
2- farm farm farm using symphonic strike
3- best built for me: Ninja Tabi /Iceborn Gauntlet/ Trinity Force /Infinity Edge /Ravenous Hydra / bloodthirster Or a frozen heart
4- the more your stack damage using your symphonic strike the more your crit strike deals damage .. up to 3.8k trust me !

Well, the main problem you could have with Nasus, is that he isn't as strong as he used to be.
His kit doesn't fit the current meta.

However, if you really want to play Nasus, try to farm like a beast.

If you farmed well with your Q (which allows you to deal more damage each time you kill a minion with it), you will deal lot's of damage whether you build tank or full damage.

So if you got a nice farm, just go full tank, doesn't matter.

I'm just silly and build Infinity Edge on Nasus because I can :>

i said it's a more offensive option for him, I do think randy's is better tho.

You don't need much damage items with his Q buffing each time. He also got a bit stronger as of this patch :)

I'd take a giant's belt + DPS aura over CrC and some AD any day of the week.

i never said together LOL, that's a horrible idea. I said they're both good items on him.

randuin's is good and sfc is pretty good too, atma's is a more offensive item than both of those since his q can crit + it works off the massive amounts of hp he gets and gives armor. Coming in with an avarice blade into lane and critting someone for 400 is pretty cool too.

Why build atma's when you could build randuin's or sunfire?

Trinity and Iceborn together are a waste of gold

he's countered by most of the champions who play top, which means he can't farm his Q well, which means he's essentially a giant meat shield with a good slow. He is, however, probably fine for low level play.

Try and pick him against ad, auto attack reliant champions like Master Yi, as that is where he shines the most. Farm up your Q, and build tanky with a mix of damage and tankyness depending on their team comp. Don't build MR if they only have ad and vice versa. Warmogs, Atma's, Trinity Force, Iceborn Gauntlet, Spirit Visage and Runic Bulwark are all pretty good items on him. Your masteries can vary on what matchup you're playing but I'd generally recommend 0/21/9 for the increased tankyness defense awards you. Neither Utility or Offense really provide you with great buffs compared to defense, so you can basically sink your points into whichever you choose, or just go full defense if you feel like it. Runes also vary on matchup and your playstyle, i've seen all armor or all mr, ad marks + quints + defensive seals and glyphs, arpen marks and ad quints with defensive seals and glyphs, and ad marks with hp or movement speed quints with defensive seals and glyphs all work, so it really depends.

Well, I personally run Life Steal Quints, go deep into the utility tree and believe that core items on Nasus include Iceborn Gauntlet and Sunfire's Cape :)
