    If Jayce switch to his ranged form, will he get a penalty for Grasp Of The Undying?

    yes, he will. although, depending on the build (usually tanky-ish) and situation, it still may be worth it. one example of a ranged champ that slot in that rune depending on her role and situation is senna.
