What type of Glyphs do I want on a AP mid laner

So I have seen a lot of different set ups for a mid lane mage. I'm mainly looking at -esque champions who will deal a lot of damage with auto-attacks and spells combined and sort of -ish. I have had a friend say to go with straight AP Glyphs while I have seen people in the past use and sometimes even . What Glyphs will best work for this champion type? I forgot to mention that the build has and making the champ already have 40% CDR

You can do Flat MR Glyphs versus AP champions as the champions you are suggesting are vulnerable to harass from Mages. Against AD lanes or lanes you don't feel threatened by, you can get away with flat or scaling AP runes. Hope this helps!

8/10 times it's going to be an AP mid-laner.
For champions with high early power (ie. Syndra, Leblanc, Ziggs, etc) I'd go flat MR glyphs.
If I was going against champions like Diana, Katarina, etc. who get their powerspike at level six I'd either..

Mix my glyphs with 4 flat MR / 5 scaling MR
Go with Flat AP Glyphs (High early game power)
Go with Scaling AP Glyphs (Champions who get their power-spike @ 6)

It all depends how confident you are on a champion, 7/10 times I go the aggressive route and use scaling AP, I'd for sure use flat/scaling MR glyphs if there were two ap threats on the opposite team.
