Vicious Skittle's Tier List Vicious Skittle's Tier List

Description

Diamond ADC tier list.

Assumes the player is good with the champion for them to be placed in their respective tiers.

The list can also shuffle around a bit based on your elo. A Bronze player should never touch Draven/Vayne/Kog and MF becomes S tier pretty much always up to plat or so (because press R and wipe in a teamfight, which low elo's love to have)
1

S Tier

Able to carry in early/mid/late game situations and is safe to blind pick.

2

Draven

Draven gets his own Tier because of the fact he transcends difficulty/general power. A good Draven will always be the best ADC to carry with in solo queue, but because he's so damn hard to pick up/master you can't really rate him that highly. If the Draven is good he's the best ADC. If the Draven is bad, he's one of the worst.

3

A+ Tier

A Tier champions that can also be S tier if they're picked into a non S tier champion or the player is exceptionally skilled at them.

4

A Tier

Great in general, but need either something else to make them work at full effectiveness or are simply outclassed by the S tier picks.

5

B Tier

Good champions that can be played in most situaions, but lacks something so they're expoiltableGood champions that can be played in most situaions, but lacks something so they're expoiltable

6

C Tier

Champions that can work if the player is exceptional at them, but otherwise are mediocre at the moment.Champions that can work if the player is exceptional at them, but otherwise are mediocre at the moment.

WHY IS MORDICISER EVEN ON THIS LIST?

Vicious Skittle (57) | January 26, 2018 1:43pm
aside from the fact I've not updated this in ages, Morde is played in the bot lane.

Great tier list, my friend. Draven is a bit too high, and Xayah is a bit too low, but everything else is perfect.

Draven is his own tier, and annoyingly I can't move an entire up/down. Xayah, yeah I've been bouncing her between A/A+ tier but the reason I think she's just A tier is because her power truly shows when played with a Rakan. On her own with whatever support, I think she's a good A tier champion. With Rakan, she becomes A+ even stepping on the toes of S.

-1 too many tiers. ;)

Still think Caitlyn is S tier after the 7.11 nerfs?

Vicious Skittle (57) | June 1, 2017 3:38pm
But we need that many tiers to cover them all :(

Yup. Her lane presence was unaffected and although headshot was a huge DPS boost with Hurricane, she'll still put out super high DPS late game with her safety and zone control from traps. Not to mention, I can feel less ****ty about myself going Shiv/RFC combo which on a trapped target can legit 100-0 people in a single shot.

Plus now that I double check, it's just the first line with "get's" that is poorly written. FeelsBadMyDude.

It was like 8am when I wrote it, after being up for 20 hours. I didn't proofread anything

I think you are giving a tad bit too much credit for Ashe, since she is more team-oriented and her immobility is pretty unforgiving. Twitch could be a tier higher imo and Kog'Maw a tier below (I think Kog requires more to be as effective as Twitch and even then I think Twitch is better solely due to the fact that he's a bit more safe and can clear the enemies faster )

Ashe, in my opinion, is so incredibly strong because she has almost everything going for her. Longer than average range, easy to manage poke tool, global vision, global initiation ult, no RNG and super versitile build paths. Kind of like Caitlyn, she can transcend metas because she can get IE first, get ER first, get bortk first, go BF > Zeal. The only thing she can't handle is lethality based metas (because she can't use those items, and her lack of mobility means assassins get a field day) and dive meta's (can't self peel pretty much at all).

She's just so consistent. Plus S tier isn't "perfect champ in every situation" all 3 of them still have obvious weaknesses. It's just that they can be safely first picked when you have no idea who you'll have on your team and who the enemy will pick. You'll always have the ability to hard carry one way or another with S tier champions no matter what, and without much of a learning curve for them.

EDIT: I forgot about Twitch. He's a god tier champion for anywhere below diamond, and can 1v9 every game thanks to his ability to punish poor positioning. Kind of like a Blitzcrank. If you misposition vs either of them, they will take a lead and run with it. However, the higher elo you get the less the enemy will fall of assassination attempts. They're always doable, and you'll always get 1-2 tries to do it at every elo but your lane will simply get rolled on by the S tier ADCs. Ashe being the only S tier twitch can deal with. Lucian will straight roll his lane meaning he won't be able to pick off the Lucian and will need to scale into the mid/late game thus giving him a glaring weakness at one of the most important part of the game. Caitlyn I would argue is a hard counter to twitch. Just never lets you farm pretty much at all, and if you open on her she can E cancel W you and one shot you if she's ahead (and she will be because she should win lane.)

I see what you mean, she is pretty consistent and fairly simple. I just think that her carrying potential isn't on par with the others, but I understand your reasoning :P

It's true Twitch does seem to have that pub-stompy goodness for solo queue, but he did say he was writing it for Diamond level and probably people know better than to get caught out by twitch there, or at least I hope so. :^)

Ashe's immobility is unforgiving but her ability to initiate teamfights seems like a pretty big boon for solo queue to me. Also she at least has slows to help her run away from someone running towards her.

Can confirm as someone who's almost OTP'd Twitch all season, winning games low Elo games is so much easier with him than other ADC's, but at around Diamond the "cheese" stops being quite as effective and he's just another good hypercarry.

Any thoughts on adding the "not ADCs, but fill the bot lane spot" champions like Ziggs or Mordekaiser to the list?
3
Vicious Skittle (57) | June 1, 2017 2:22pm
Ziggs is niche, probably B tier at the moment. With Warlord's and bortk being a thing he gets out-sustained too easily meaning he can't poke as effecitvley. That being said, he's still a great pick when you have a phys top/mid/jungle (which is sadly still very common in solo queue)

Hmm, I would have never thought to put Draven above everyone else but the way you explained it makes sense. I admit I really wish I was good with him because he is so fun, and I used to play him a lot but I never quite mastered him (plus I barely play ADC nowadays)

The S Tier also totally checks out. Even in Gold I swear I only see these 3 ADCs 90% of games. I even ban Caitlyn sometimes cuz I hate her and she's dumb. >.> Would be nice to see more variety in the ADCs that are being played. :(
