1
Tier 1
These supports synergize with most ADCs and have a high amount of pressure both in lane and across the map.
2
Tier 2
Still perfectly usable supports, but they might not synergize with a few ADCs, or just be outshined in general by tier 1.
3
Tier 3
Gimmicky supports that can be highly successful in some situations, but they tend to have some poor matchups or get shut down hard by ganks.
4
Tier 4
Garbage Can Tier. Please don't torture your ADC with these picks.
I would also say that Nami synergizes with all ADs, her CC is just less reliable / easy to use than the others to me, but she has everything you want.
I also don't really see Thresh nearly as much as I used to so I figured he was just out of the meta a bit. Or well, back line supports seem much more popular these days.
Sej, Galio, Veigar? I have not really seen these so I'm surprised to see them in Tier 2 over some in Tier 3 that seem a little more traditional to me.
It is cool to see you include some untraditional ones though. I've certainly been rekt by Velkoz support before.
Thanks for pointing out people shouldn't play Lux support, I cry erry tiem. +1
Sorry for such a rambly comment. :3
Janna could probably be higher, but from my experiance playing her, and against her, she generally doesn't "win the lane" as easily as the tier ones. She's still amazing in team fights later on but her rather passive laning phase is why I kept her T2. Nami was originally in T1, but I bumped her down so that there wasnt too many up there.
Thresh has been coming back probably cause he does well against the squishy supports that are commonplace now (Barring Zyra). Last I checked, he has the highest win rate of any support as well.
Sej and Galio are surprisingly effective supports, they are just much better in lane/jungle. Veigar probably needs lowered yeah.
And you can probably tell I have somewhat of a bias for tank supports, but I tried very hard not to let that affect my placements. otherwise tier 1 would consist of only Thresh, Alistar and Braum. xD
