Items are only mithics, legendarys often change depending on situation ( chemtank purifier if enemy has heal or similar)
Heal/shield +++ : extremely strong Heal/shield
Heal/shield ++ : good Heal/shield but maybe restricted or just weaker scaling like namis.
Heal/shield + : small Heal/shield like rakan q or rell q or heavily restricted ( items do not really count nor selfheal that has its own category)
Poke/Burst+++ : can oneshot easily as support and damage does really hurt, see brand .
Poke/Burst ++: high damage
Poke/ Burst + : good dmg but restricted ( auto poke is more dps as most can autopoke that are ranged )
Tank +++ : extremely tanky and enhance themselves often
Tank ++: tanky but no way/ less to make them tankier with abilitys
Tank+: can tank some damage

these champs arent meta, but play like enchanter and can be a good alternative for the quirky players who go against the norm such as me.
catchers excel at singleling out a Target and eliminating it with help of teammates, forcing the enemy to fight a battle with a numbers disadvantageunlike vanguard they often dont risk much as they do it at range or safety.
ENgage ( Vanguards)
these guys are usually tanky, beefy frontliners who charge and use cc to lock down enemys, they do need to move into risky territory to do this compared to catchers, who excel at longer range lockdown. luckily theire beefy and focusing down a tank isnt ideal.
defensive Tanks excelling at disengage, defensive crowd control and applying unique buffs or debuffs. are usually conditional and favoured more as pocket picks.
Poke is applying dmg over long distance and without much commitment, so throwing a Xerath q doesnt put him in danger for example unlike a Leona Engage, any champ that has long range autos or abilities can Poke to a degree, but mages often excel at it due to their long range high damage skillshots.
these are true offmetas ( some more than others) but if youre good at those and are filled in, want to have fun in normals or just want to go against the norm these are for You
last years meta saw the emergence of these two as Supports.True Men of support they might have been nerfed down quite a bit, but if youre willing to show your inner strenght these are for you.
Senna and her ADC Friends
Senna has opened the gate for some Adcs to truly become Supports, the autopoke can be insane but adding 2 vulnerable targets into a team for a Diver to kill can be a mistake.
one time my support got pissed as i played taliyah adc as i was autofilled, so he picked renekton and build ludens, morello and wardstone. Legend went 0 33 5. obvios ****post here XD if you do this though i found out where you live and eat all of your toes.

Also, Abyssal Mask is the item that increases damage on imobalized abilities. I think you're thinking of Demonic Embrace, which applies a damage over time-effect when you damage enemies with your abilities.
overall though u can proc moonstone many times.
In my experience, vayne is picked much more frequently when I pick Anivia, compared to normal.
And yes, it's fun, no doubt!
(Examples, for context: Soraka Q, Yuumi passive, Seraphine passive, all of the good poke they have)
TL;DR: My friends (and probably other people too) believe enchanters should only heal, although they have great poke, some of which reward the user with healing and shields when they hit.
