Would you consider hextech gunblade for midlane Varus? Both spellvamp/lifesteal will be a good sustain. AP isn't wasted at all and the active is really nice for preventing escapes after the chain of corruption"

"Definitely viable against another strong pusher...
Also, you can avoid hitting several minions with umbra blades if you position yourself properly. + Don't forget, although you push a lane with it, it's a great sustain tool."
