"TBC actually reduces their armor. This means everybody is going to hit harder. LW only works for your personal attacks and abilities.
If rarely rely on other people anyway, so I can afford to be selfish sometimes. LW is also cheaper."

"Exactly what I was trying to get across about two weeks ago. TBC recudes the one champion's armor overall (while also having AS and more AD). LW only penetrates for your attacks."

Alistar and Maokai are both good for the same reason, amazing single-target CC ganks (and tank/support).
Nautilus is also extremely popular for his consistent CC.

I personally think Nasus is a rather well-rounded character. Passive lifesteal, nearly spammable melee nuke, god-like slow, two sufficient AoEs, and plenty of survivability.

"The only time I ever get kills as Taric are when somebody on the enemy team is dumb enough to channel a spell while I am on their side of the map. Flash + stun + god mode burst = dead squishy.
I end up carrying half of my Nidalee support games though. It's often effortless."
