"Since Vampiric Scepter now gives AD and Doran's Blade doesn't help AD carries transition into the end of mid game the same it did in season 2 with scaling lifesteal, you can do Vampiric Scepter + 1 Doran's Blade, which is cheaper than 2 Doran's Blades and the old Vampiric Scept"

"Why? Well, look at the stats. Between Locket of the Iron Solari, Shurelya's Reverie and Runic Bulwark, Locket of the Iron Solari has the lowest cost, the most health, and the most armor. It has the same CDR as Shurelya's Reverie. Runic Bulwark is a very close 2nd with 400 HP "

Shurelya's Reverie is still good on supports, but it's even better on an initiator is going to be up front / near people anyway to initiate.
IMO, Locket of the Iron Solari is the "new" generic support it"
