"You know, it's rather easy to fix mana problems with Philosopher's Stone and to get a little AP via Kage's Lucky Pick (which builds into Twin Shadows, a good support item, or Morellonomicon, which provides more mana regen and 20% CDR).
And I wouldn't frown upon Mejai's Soulsteal"
