Bruisers are meant for peeling and zerging carries.
You generally want presence as a bruiser. Making yourself a big large meatshield that does damage gives less presence than a bruiser with peels and actives able to impact the game.

Atmog's is bad. The meta for bruisers has changed long ago.
People used to get atmog's because atma's was cheap and OP and it allowed for early snowballing.
Nowadays no one gets it because it doesnt help your team at all. What good does it do if you're just a meatshield?
