Admittedly, sometimes I just feel like writing.

DISCLAIMER WARNING: This is really ****ing long.

If you're a homegrown, proud, patriotic American like I'm not, then you've probably heard of the Baltimore riots that recently occurred. Alternatively, you could be me, and be a man who enjoys "trolling teh forumz" for unhealthy amounts of time each day.

I personally enjoy browsing Reddit. And if you've been on Reddit, then you know they love their cultural differences and completely unbiased, individual opinions right? Right?

Lol no.

Admittedly, Reddit was a bit of a cluster**** or *****torm or whatever the **** you want to call it yesterday. Naturally, a majority of people probably boycotted all the drama that occurred out of fear that it would tenderise their anus, and instead go about their daily routines of browsing cute dogs on /r/awww and vigorously masturbating to their weird fetish subreddit, mine personally being /r/nekomimi because nothing makes me cry myself to sleep at night more than knowing I'm sexually attracted to imaginary naked anime cat girl lolis. And before any of you ask, yes, Nekopara is the ****ing ****s, that is if you buy the non-censored version, then it's also in a literal sense and...

But I was a man brave enough to bring lube. I normally always bring lube when going to Reddit because porn is abundant and you've got always be prepared because you ****ing know that link to /r/ButtSharpies is coming, but I'm just saying this because talking about /r/nekomimi has probably made me *****.

I'll try that again.

But I was a man brave enough to enter the *****torm head on. I didn't comment on it because I'm Australian and the term African American is never used to refer to anyone because here, they're all ****ing African. Speaking of which, why do are they even referred to as African American? I can assure you hardly any of them have even been to Africa, and their African heritage probably traces down about 4 generations. At this point, they're just American. What's even more amusing is that in Britain and France, they're just black, and no one seems to really give a **** there.

**** it's so hard not to digress.

Alright, so I went into the threads that commented on this, and... I'm personally proud of how Reddit handled it, despite literally no one on that site giving a **** about my existence. But I'm still proud that we didn't start becoming Tumblr and actively start to support them blindly. If there's one thing Reddit really loves, it's antagonising police officers. A police officer sneezing on a black man would probably turn into some **** like, "Colorado police officer attempts to kill off African American race by infecting them with avian influenza, also known as ebola." People were seeing the **** that went down and saw the wrong in it. Looting stores, slashing a fireman's hose so a fire can't be put out, they knew that's wrong. The majority did not back up the black people, and in fact, criticised them for being unnecessarily destructive.

When Reddit hates something, it's ****ing full on. You don't try to mediate peace on Reddit. You have to take a side, either the side of the majority or the minority. You **** or be ****ed. It's this sort of S and M nature of Reddit that made me really surprised when both sides of the argument were respected.

This is the internet. My opinion is right and your opinion is wrong because **** you.

So when both posts of criticism of the actions of black people and posts of these same people doing something morally good within the time both rose up to the front page, I was actually glad that people were being rational and reasonable about the situation.

This really didn't affect me. I don't live in America, I don't have relatives in America and I don't have any pen pals in America. Why would I give a ****? Really, I don't. It's still interesting, but it really won't affect me in the long run.

Time for a story that probably only Jimmydogga and Jhoijhoi will have heard of. The Baltimore Riots received pretty much no coverage here in Australia. Instead, the major story that dominated our headlines was the execution of two Australian drug smugglers in Indonesia despite countless pleas from a wide majority of people, including our own prime minister as well as some other celebrities that I can't name off the top of my head. What is to note is that rather than the executions themselves being the major focus, instead it was shifted to the pleas of the people.

If you really care about my opinion of the situation, read this paragraph. If not, then piss off to the next paragraph. Personally, I thought it was justified. It's not right, it's definitely not right, but it's justified. What people need to understand is that they brought it into a place fully knowing they are doing something illegal and fully knowing about the punishment. In this case, sadly, the law is the law. Really, capital punishment is wrong, but those are the laws of the country, and really, they are justified. They came in with the wish to disrespect these laws, and they were punished simply by the books. Of course, I don't want them dead. I still think that killing them was wrong. But I understand why. Indonesia doesn't want to back out of this, showing they are susceptible to puppy dog eyes. While showing mercy on these people would have the thanks of many, at the same time, it would also be met with a lot of criticism and complaints. It's a messy situation really.

It's actually fairly easy to manipulate people through the media, and it also happens to be that this is the best way to make money from the media sector. This is the annoying thing about this situation. I couldn't find the facts about this. The information surrounding it was so horribly skewed from every source of information because the news people wished to cater to what people wanted to hear. In an ideal world, the news gives us the news, and we as people that watch the news form the opinions. the news shouldn't be forming opinions for us and we simply side with whichever one we think we align with more. But, this isn't the case. Almost every good or service provided to us is provided with the intentions to make money. If it ain't makin' money, then what's the point of having that company?

If you've made it this far, I'm sorry you had to endure that. If for some reason you actually enjoyed that, then thank you, and I hope you have a nice day.
