Ryze can be an ungodly mana tank and deal out tons of damage, but 3 ROAs doesn't maximize his potential, unless you are able to get a full 20 on all 3, which is very very doubtful. Even then, a game lasting that long would benefit more from Abyssal Scepter or Void Staff t"

IMO the most important part of learning Ryze.
Also, why do you go with Scaling Mana? I know it gives more in the end, but I go flat Mana seals and quints to get a BIG early damage boost and more poke.

I rarely even attempt a second after getting my Muramana, but when I do, the game is over before it is charged.
And why open with W when the cd on Q is so much lower. Unless you are invading and need the cc, I prefer Q for harass/poke."
