Hello everybody!

Welcome to the second part of our little "how to" guide. I assume, you already read How to report a player 1/2, so you know what's going on and know the basics. Now, let's examine closely the options you may choose from, when sending a report.

The reason I wrote this is, that some options require more than just choosing the title and pressing "Send Report" button. Incorrect report may lead to a general pardon for toxic player, and I am quite sure that is not what you want. Remember - real people judge those reports, so they need some vital info.

And the main rule - if the player is worth reporting, take your time to do it properly. Otherwise don't do it at all.

This being said, let's see what we have in store for those annoying trolls:

REPORTING OPTIONS

HEADLINE: Harassment: Offensive Language
WHO TO REPORT: player, that is using rude words more than necessary
COMMENTARY: no need, we can see that from the chatbox provided for each case

NOTES: Sometimes it is confusing if you should use this or "Verbal abuse" variant. Choose this option if someone is using swear words for unwinding the pressure more than often, but he obviously don't mean anyone personally - or is swearing on enemy team, but only within the team chat (i.e: "**** that was close." "****ing tower" "Die you ****!" "HAHAHA got him, madafaking Yi can't play ****" and so on).

HEADLINE: Harassment: Verbal Abuse
WHO TO REPORT: player, that directly swear at somebody or is constantly picking on someone and blaming him/her for everything bad that happens
COMMENTARY: no need, we can see that from the chatbox provided for each case
NOTES: this is commonly mistaken with offensive language. The main difference can be explained like this: while verbal abuse often includes offensive language, just plain swearing doesn't need to be targeted at someone . Report any verbal abuse, even if it is aimed at enemy player (i.e. "You ***** why u play Udyr" "Ashe I hope you get cancer for killing me" "All report Lux, feeder, noob" "You noob you feed like idiot" "Stupid Ryze" "We loose because of you WW, go **** your mama" etc.).

HEADLINE: Griefing: Intentional Feeding
WHO TO REPORT: all players that die to enemy or enemy turret intentionaly
COMMENTARY: please tell us more about it
NOTES: usually trolls or toxic players even announce, that they are going to feed. Just write in the Note box something like "he said he will feed, then he did" so we can look it up in chatbox, then look at his death ratio - and get him punished. Careful - not everyone who dies often, do it intentionally. Maybe he is just unskileld or misjudged the situation.

HEADLINE: Griefing: Assisting Enemy Team
WHO TO REPORT: everyone who plays as if they want enemy team to win
COMMENTARY: please provide some insight of what he did
NOTES: There is plenty of ways how to assist the enemy: not reporting missing champions during lane phase, not using abilities when obviously he should, not using ping, not assisting in team fights, or constantly going solo and get killed. Again - distinguish between a troll and genuine noob. Engage team conversation, try to make him cooperate. Usually this is the way to find out what kind of player are you dealing with.

HEADLINE: Refusing to Communicate with Team
WHO TO REPORT: player that NEVER uses pings on minimap
COMMENTARY: provide some, as we can't see if he did or did not ping
NOTES: everyone uses pings. And if they don't know how to do it, they will ask immediately. So if anyone refuses to ping the minimap or report missing champions (even after you ask them to do it), you are safe to report him. Do not use this if your teammates are speaking different language. That may be impolite and counter-productive, but it is not a crime.

HEADLINE: Leaving the Game/AFK
WHO TO REPORT: inactive players or trolls that rage quits the game
COMMENTARY: if they leave after mid game, please tell us
NOTES: If the player gets in rage and says something like "I go AFK cuz you suck" or "Im leaving you noobs" then tell us to check the chatbox. If they leave at the beginning, their K/D/A ratio and empty (or semi-empty) inventory are enough of a proof - you don't need to provide any comments. If they leave just before the end (mostly before your team loose) tell us about it, otherwise we won't be able to figure it out (mainly if he don't say a word and just quits).

HEADLINE: Negative Attitude
WHO TO REPORT: player that is self-centered, greedy and not helping the team
COMMENTARY: mandatory, otherwise we can't tell if your report is tangible
NOTES: This option is for reporting players, that takes all for themselves. Try to last hit all the creeps - no matter if they are carry or not - change lanes to harvest team mate's creeps, stealing monsters from jungler, kill stealers and so on. They often even say that you should leave their lane (while they feel free to intercept yours) or leave the enemy to them to kill.

HEADLINE: Inappropriate Name
WHO TO REPORT: anyone with abusive name, or name that resembles champions
COMMENTARY: mandatory, as we see only the name of champion reported player was playing with
NOTES: When reporting inappropriate name, always tell us what name is this player using. It's jsut enough, if you copy their name in the "Note box" and send the report. No need for writing anything else. Inappropriate names are abusive, rude, resembles names of champions or Riot employees (i.e. "Madafaka" "****Head01" "Nigga" "iHateGermans" "Varvick" "Jynx" "Riot_Bloodhead" "Phhreak" etc.)

HEADLINE: Spamming
WHO TO REPORT: all spammers and flamers that just makes reading team chat impossible
COMMENTARY: no need, we can see that from the chatbox provided for each case
NOTES: firstly this was meant for anyone who will just repeat the same word (or a phrase, even sentence) again and again, disrupting team conversation. But this can be used also for flamers - players that just won't shut up and flame the chat with nonsense, or even verbal abuse and swear words. In case of flaming, you may put in the Note box single word - "flaming".

HEADLINE: Unskilled Player
WHO TO REPORT: player that obviously doesn't have a clue what is he doing
COMMENTARY: please tell us more about him
NOTES: while we may see partial "unskillfullnes" with wrong items and bad K/D/A ratio, sometimes we can't. Mostly if player follows some guide, so his items are OK and when his ratio is not that bad. In those cases you should tell us more of how his lack of skill manifested in the game.

So, this is it. If you manage to finish this Chineese wall of text, I congratulate you and thank you for your time. Hopefully now you better understand the whole reporting stuff and will get better, more precise with your future reports. Any questions and comments are welcome.

Again - thanks and see you soon!
