Views: 885 Jungle Nasus? No thanks

Hello everyone!
As you all most likely noticed,
Nasus made it into the free rotation last week. And since plenty of people play him in jungle and I (at the time) had no other jungling champion, I decided to give him a try. He was recommended to me as a good jungler, and also I felt much safer with him than with
Fiddlesticks. And here are my thoughts after a week of playing...
FIRST THOUGHTS
"The circle of life will continue. We will live, they will DIE." That just made my day and I was looking forward to select him amongst all the playable characters, just to hear that :D Best one I heard so far.
At first, I liked him. He is quite tough since lvl 1, and has an OK clearing time. But something didn't feel right and it took me few games to realize, what was it. And the more I palyed, more I saw what is wrong with him and now I can present you with 4 facts, that made me decide, taht I won't be jungling with
Nasus ever again.
ALL IN ALL or TL ; DR
After a week long testing (both bot games and pvp), I think
Nasus is not a good jungler. No real damage, only one CC ability, weak Q and he is slow.
But I don't think that
Nasus is a bad champion at all. I actually like him a lot and I think I will buy him to have some TOP LANER for my future games, if someone takes my positions in team and I will be forced to play there.
Actually - one of the last games I played with this champion, enemy team has their own
Nasus, on solo-top. He himself teased me in the chat, that while he had 350 stacks in his Q, I had only 115 (and I was just a level behind him). Late game I looked at his Q - he had amazing 540 stacks in there, while I was on my poor 200+ And when he hit someone with his Q, they were good as dead.
In that match I definately made my mind and I think
Nasus is a great TOP LANER, but a ***** jungler. He is a tank, and can feed his Q so well on line creeps, that he is finally able to do some good damage late game, when it is most needed.
Therefore, IMHO if you take your Egyptian dog as a jungler, you are voluntarily nerfing your character and weakening your team, which can proove fatal later on.
So, what do you think? Am I right, or it was all that bad just because I am new to the whole jungling stuff? What are your opinions about the RABID DOG? (yes, I nicknamed jungle
Nasus like this, since rabid dogs usually runs to the forrest and then bite everyone and everything around :D)

- HE IS A TANK. While it seems to be good for you, because it means you can soak some damage, stay longer in game and in late game serve as a team tank, but therefore you have a disatvantage in form of lower damage and ability power. Even his jungle builds (those I saw) were building mostly tanky items, with not much of a damage delaing stuff. And if a jungler can't deal damage, what good is he? Some may argue, that
Nasus is a tanky jungler, and it is fine with me. I just don't like it. And I think it gives an advantage to the enemy jungler.
- CAN'T FEED HIS Q. This is (for me) the main reason why I think
Nasus should stay away from the woods. I tried this route: red buff > wraiths > wolves > blue buff > wight. If I was lucky and my team mates (who were helping me getting the Red) ran away before they could steal part of my exp, after killing the first small lizzard I was lvl 2 and took
Siphoning Strike to last hit the second lizzard with it. In each camp I could get one stack for my Q, so in the end, as lvl 4 I ended up always with the amount of 15.
If I slowed down, to wait for cooldown, I could get even 21, but for the cost of a longer clearing time, which is not very good if the enemy has a jungler on their own. There is just no way how to feed your Q to the full potential, I always ended up with something between 200-300. And without any real damage dealing items, I was just scratching the armor of our enemies. Not cool at all. First I thought it is because I'm a noob, but every jungle dog I saw out there, wasn't doing much better, even in ranked games.
- HAS JUST ONE GANKING ABILITY Of course I am talking about beloved
Wither. It's a cool spell for ganks, but the range is terribly small. You can make it better with your ulti, but it will be a waste. Other than that,
Nasus has no other CC or gank-helping abilities. Of course,
Spirit Fire is reducing the armor, but you have to place it right and it is easy to get away from, since it doesn't slow the movement. And yes, you can combine these two abilities, but still I think there are better champions with more effecient ganks.
- SO SLOW I don't know, maybe it is just his animation, but I really had this feeling (every time I played him), that it takes me forever to get somewhere. To catch someone without
Wither is practically impossible. You can get him
Mobility Boots but you will have to sacrifice your armor or magic resist bonus that you can get from the other boots, and therefore nerfing your tankiness.

Once he finishes one full item, you're already ****ed. If he took TP, your entire team is ****ed.
Tried a
I might go jungle
Shyvanna, Vi, Eve, and Olaf picks that you see every game now.
lol yup
Season 4 jungle meta so far is all about farming. Nasus clears too slowly to keep pace with the Shyvanna, Vi, Eve, and Olaf picks that you see every game now. So he's been completely relegated to top lane, which is totally fine.
wither is devastating. if the enemy lane is pushed at all you can sometimes get off two of them before they can get back to their tower...combine that with your laner having any sort of cc and your q. not to bad. lasty's boy azingy jungled him in s3 at d1/challenger level.
btw. shyv op. so stupid op.
