"A way to prevent repeat votes would be to have the screen go grey with a little *working* cog or something to indicate the site is processing your command. Maybe? Or at least time out the voting option with a working cog, the same with publishing/saving guides."

I disagree with the "play a champ you have fun playing". I have heaps of fun playing Karma and Nidalee support, but I've rarely ever won a game with them ^^"
