"Even with cloth armor.. a lot of his damage is magic damage and 5 potions isn't nearly enough to sustain you to level 6. He's a huge pain to deal with in the early levels that's why I'm wondering how you'd do it on a Sion"

I don't put upgraded boots in the cheat sheet cause what you upgrade it to is different almost every game. For possible boots upgrades, check out the 'boots' part in the items section of the guide.

One question, how do you deal with Yorick pre-6? Yorick deals quite a lot of damage early game and Sion won't have any sustain to deal with it yet.. so how do you get past that point to level 6 without falling behind too much?"

"Kill lanes are usually formed by 2 champions with a lot of CC and burst potential. You already listed a few good examples but you can take it much further than that.
A few popular examples:
