"Right so, if you buy 6 months, you will get 1 off the bat and 1 every time your subscription renews. Same for the year of Prime but you'd get 3 off the bat and 3 every time your subscription renews.
So yeah, you aren't getting 1 / month with Prime. It isn't like Prime members hog all the Commenda"

"Ah I see. You only get 1 Commendation with 6 months of Prime and 3 with 1 Year when you sign up (and when it renews). Otherwise, they are separate. You don't get X per month or anything like that, just some free ones as bonus to signing up for more than 3 months. :)"
