One would think that since lifesteal's requirements are merely doing damage with an auto-attack, that doing damage to a shield would still give you health.

"Not really, Bear can catch anyone without dashes on his own. Ghost doesnt help catch people with dashes or blinks. Heal synergizes with his passive. :p"

udyr also gets essentially free resistances from his passive, making him theoretically tankier late game. (In terms of sheer durability, not healing)
