Posted a Comment: May 25th, 2011 "Why you would build Irelia AP/AD I don't know. She needs the survivability from tanky items, and she is much more reliant on her autoattacks+Q+W than on AP, all of which stack with AD/AS rather than AP. This just doesn't make much sense to me at all."

All you really need for damage on him is trinity force and madred's bloodrazors as most of his damage comes from his skills.
