"Early game you want Health Pendant so you can use your abilities.
I have used tanky AP Morde a lot back in the day. Was fun.
My usual build was
Sorc Shoes
1st 2 items were defensive:
FoN and Sunfire/Randuins
After that AP items:
Rylais, Hextech Gunblade, and Abyssal/Rabadons/Zho"

"Very similar to the build I use. Items slightly in a different order and I use Wriggle's Lantern early to speed up farming.
One thing I noticed though. You have Greater Mark of Strength on your rune build page but you say Armor Pen runes under your rune discussion page. "

Melee DPS: Irelia, Kayle
Support: Lux, Kayle
Annoying Heroes (with nothing else needed): Morde, Mundo"
