If my MMR decreased due to inactivity I'd just climb right back up since my opponents are easier now. This isn't really an issue.

"Two newbie-friendly communities are on the NA server (might be on EUW too, but smaller/less active): join the chatrooms "lowelo" and "practice mode". If they are full just add "2", "3", etc. to the end. "

"DPS AP champions still tend to outdamage AD carries by a large margin throughout the laning phase (the likes of Cassiopeia and Swain). Mid Graves could work against champions with targeted spells. "
