"Aren't we forgetting Malphite's Brutal Strikes? It increases his armor by 40%. That can be a pretty hefty amount with 6thornmails and a lot of buffs."

Well I'd just like to point out 2 pretty big fails in your list:
Attack speed seals and glyphs. They're only good on a very select amount of champions, but even on those you're usually better off just going for MR or armor.
