"Nope, you understood it correctly. That's how they work.
I think(not sure) they're all time-based too. I.E: you can adjust the time before it registers each button.
Like for akali: R->0.5sec->Mouse1->0.1sec->Q->0.1sec->Mouse1->0.1sec->Mouse2->e.t.c."

I managed to get to try a friend's keyboard.
He has MX Cherry Black switches and it's now clear to me that I want a keyboard that has buttons that are easier to push down.
So I'm down to either MX Cherry Reds or Browns.
And I'm pretty sure I'll go for the premium Qpad MK-85 model.
