Point being that your standard build (the one at the top) has THE worst survivability item you can buy.. (warmog)
Try buying Banshee's Veil, Atma's Impaler and Frozen Mallet. They give alot of damage while also giving loads of survivability.

Also; you're FUCKING MELEE! You NEED at least one defensive item. Banshee's Veil, Atma's Impaler and Frozen Mallet are great items for that."
