Your only defense to that is your experience with her.
She isn't 'bad' in any way. I've been told she offers the most utility to any team as an AD Carry, and I completely believe that because I've seen her skill set (who hasn't, lol).

"It's a single target spell. That's why it applies rylai's crystal scepter's full 35% slow. Although I'm not sure for the spell vamp.
Also, maybe you were ignited or sth. And the damage done per hit is pretty low, you don't necessarily feel like you get any Lifesteal off a doran's blade]"
