Nice short clip on the mechanics and ideas behind trading.
I used these strategies to good affect against a
Gangplank last night while trying out the new Omega Squad Teemo skin.
One thing I'll add using Ganglank as an example, but the idea applies to quite a few champions, is that if Gangplank uses his Q, Parrrley, to farm a minion it is a great time (assuming the other conditions listed in the video are also true) to move forward to harass him as he can't retaliate with his only damage ability outside of his ultimate, Cannon Barrage.
As a cautionary note, standing on a low health minion in order to force them to go for the CS or take a shot at you can be painful in Gangplank's case as his Q can critically strike causing you to lose the trade despite having done everything else correctly.
