The best start for irelia is a doran's shield in 95% of the matchups. The same goes for your runes. The effectiveness of scaling runes is only marginal as well so you're always better off with flat. "

"Yup. Get AD marks, armor seals and lifesteal quints. That is the best setup for irelia right now. Also, start with a doran's shield. The core items actually are perfectly fine, but guinsoo's really is sucky. "

"Game 12. I seem to have a tendency to have most gold of the game on a jungler. The game itself was actually quite sloppy, we got FB in an invade but then went 3/6 because Kha snowballed a bit against akali. Got kills anywhere I went and won the game within 20 minutes.
