Hi!
It has been some time since I did a personal update, so why not take the chance to do so right now?
So last time I posted an update, I was about to start (or had just started) studying Economics & Business Economics, but after a couple of months I kinda lost all motivation to keep going as I just didn't really enjoy what I was doing. I did want to keep studying so I had to find something else to do. After a long time looking I pretty much stumbled across International Studies, which is probably the least descriptive name one could ever imagine. In short, it teaches pretty much everything with regards to international relations, politics, history, economics and even languages and cultures. It's a pretty new course (it doesn't have any graduates lol) but I'm really looking forward to it, it seems to perfectly match my interests. Some more on my interests later.
So after quitting Economics, I haven't really done much spectacular but I have gotten serious about PC building, which is now something I do semi-professionally (I build systems for friends/family/colleagues and make some money off of it, but nothing to live off). Of course I've also spent a lot of time working on my own PC and I'm incredibly happy with the way it worked out (screenshots below).

Besides that, I'm trying to improve my mental and physical health right now by sporting more. Sitting in your room in front of your computer for hours isn't necessarily the best thing ever so right now I'm going for regular rides, trying to at least make 50km each week. May possibly even get a real sports bike and go for longer rides eventually if I keep this up. You can follow my profile on Strava if you're interested: https://www.strava.com/athletes/9472742
What's more? Oh I'm writing in-depth articles on Reddit for some reason, implying reddit is a good source for debate lol. I've always been the guy to keep up with world news every single day and I like writing stuff about it. So, I just wrote a huge wall of text on the ongoing crisis in Greece today: https://www.reddit.com/r/explainlikeimfive/comments/3bi365/the_financial_crisis_in_greece/csmnhbz
Finally, I'll be going interrailing (for those unaware: it's essentially a train ticket for every train in Europe, valid for three weeks) starting the 12th of July, so I'll be gone for quite some time there. We're visiting Dresden, Prague, Hungary (some random small village there), Zagreb, Pula (also Croatie), Ljubljana and Graz before returning back home. I'm really looking forward to it :)
Anyway, I think that's all for now. Going to bed now, it's late :D Also forgive me for lazy formatting and spelling - I'm tired after my ride

Next time you should make a stop in Soest (the German one) :^)
Was about 100km from there this winter when I visited Düsseldorf, but that's about the closest I'll get I'm afraid. I won't go on another holiday for at least one year and I don't think I'm planning Germany again ;)
Oh, that's actually pretty awesome oo
I can't say it's surprising or not because I actually know nothing about pretty much anyone on mobafire, bar that they play league of legends and a few other things. I just thought your interest in computers could lead to something professionally but you know yourself best :P
As for the Portugal thing, it was more of a "ever should you visit". It's cheap and the food's good yo
Gonna agree with you on that, I went to visit my Grandma at São Miguel and it was amazing. The food was some of the best I've ever had, the scenery was beautiful and swimming on the ocean was so much fun. I can't wait to visit again.

You overestimate my imagination. Or my opinion of you. Or both :P
I think the interrailing thing is amazing and I kinda envy you. If ever you came to Portugal (not on your current plans I see >:c ) I can probably tell you a few cool cities/places to visit and some foods you gotta try.
It sucks you are still looking for the studies you really wanna invest in. However, I'm confused why you'd go with International Studies when you have such a knack for computers and that's clearly a good professional route for the current century.
Yeah Portugal would be quite off-route, but I appreciate the offer :)
Well, I had a look at things like computer science/IT but in the end I felt a bit the same as I felt about economics; its fun to do for yourself but to study and make a living out of it? Didn't really feel like I'd enjoy it. The mathematics part also kinda holds me back there.
International Studies may seem weird (even to close friends), but if you consider my above-average interest in international relations, cultures etc it makes a lot more sense. I.e. I watch and read news every day, I've spent hundreds of hours researching China and Greece (for different reasons, but mostly economical/political) and I love talking about all of this. At my highschool I was allowed to present some of my work on China for a couple hundred people which to this day remains something I'm pretty proud of :)
Even more than you already imagined? Is that even possible?! /s

woaw the interrailing thing is pretty cool o3o
I should do that sometime...
Good luck to you buddy :3
Thanks! I'm really looking forward to it :) It's a pretty awesome thing to do if you have a couple of friends to bring along, I'm going with 3 of my best friends. It's not really expensive either (292€ for 10 days of travel during those 3 weeks, and as long as you stay in hostels/campsites that isn't expensive either).
This is our route mapped out:

Oh you're actually a more interesting person than I imagined :^)
