Yo everyone,
been inactive for a long, long time. Haven't even lurked Mobafire for a long time. Figured I'd do a quick status update (although I dunno if this will get any attention due to the way blogs work atm).
I haven't been playing League as of lately at all. I did not really have any intention to quit to begin with (and I didn't want to say "I quit" preemtively like some of you guys ^^) but I found myself losing motivation to start up a game etc. I've been playing some singleplayer games instead and of course studying and doing some work to get some dolla dolla. I did watch all of worlds and I'm still keeping up with the game in terms of competitive gameplay, just not playing. This obviously also resulted me not being active on mobafire anymore.
I don't know if I'll (ever?) be back to the game or to Mobafire, but so far I can say it doesn't really look like it ;-) However, if you ever have any questions (can be league related as I'm still into competitive) you can ask me on skype (vynertje).
I guess that's about it. Hope you enjoyed your time without me so far :)

Yup, as mentioned, I already 'quit' a month ago so I've already found stuff to do instead. Currently playing the new Civ together with my favourites Arma III, Skyrim, Rome II and some other random steam games I find on sale :)
I've been in ranked teams for years now and only recently I quit my team just because of utter lack of motivation. Ranked team certainly didn't help me :p
Maybe just time for a change after all; it's not like you won't find a new game. Make sure to donate your account to those little Ebola children in Africa; if Facebook likes help them, then that will surely cause a spike in the survival rate.

I know what you mean, the game has started to become a little stale for me; there's only so much you can do by cloning DotA, granted. I'd advise to find yourself a proper ranked team – assuming you'd be interested in that – as it does put the game in a different perspective. It's nice to be challenged on strategy rather than just the usual “My team mates apparently don't know this game all that well” routine.

I already have a smurf and stomping noobs does not equal enjoyment. It's not really about feeling good about myself or about teammates or toxicity or anything like that, it's just an overall feeling of not caring about the game anymore. Motivation goes a lot further than those simple things you're mentioning.

but as it has been said before you could possibly still hangout on the website due to all the off-topic threads and maybe somehow your interest in the game will come back once more o.o

Tho you can also just hang out on Mobafire without Leagueing. Theres plenty off topic **** to talk about. Or you can always regret your decision and come back <3
