Hey everyone,
due to the blog entry Hades4u recently published about the Quarantine Support Group, I was inspired and thought it would be a good idea to create something related as well. I really don't know if it will turn out the way I'm hoping it will but I thought I'll give it a go. :)

Why am I actually typing all of this down?
I experienced that many people around me face problems because of this critical time we're all undergoing right now. There's problems of job- and health-related nature, but also those that many of us don't know what to exactly do, how to behave or just feeling blue because the lack of social contacts. These contacts seem to be somewhat rare and maybe even at stake since we all know that it's somehow a little bit too easy to lose friends or aquaintances, even though the internet was supposed to improve connectivity.

What's my vision or plan?
I would like to help you - I can't help you in a financial way - but I'll have an "open ear" for you, listen to (or rather read) your problems, worries and concerns and try to help you out of a potential crisis. I'm not saying I will be successful but let's give it a shot and often it already feels a little better when being able to talk about what's going on, feeling that you're not alone and that there's people who are willing to listen to you. At least these are my experiences.

Why me?
I'm a psychology student who's right now in her second semester of her master's degree (namely Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy) and I know many facts found or proved by research. For example, social isolation is strongly connected with depression and anxiety disorders. So I'm not saying, I'll put you "on the couch" nor do therapy with you - first of all, it's not proved yet that online psychotherapy actually works and I'm not a psychotherapist (yet). This isn't about therapy but sharing thoughts, maybe fears and whatever may be on your mind that doesn't feel too comfortable there. There's many factors of why psychotherapy works and a big one is that you've actually found someone who's willing to listen and you can talk to freely about whatever you're willing to share.

I will try to give you tips on how you could possibly improve your situation, even if it's "only" seeing things from a different kind of angle and try to share my best knowledge with you.

How is this supposed to work?
If you're interested on taking up this offer, please don't hesitate to comment below or leave me a PM and I will answer you as quickly as I can. I'm usually checking in online daily, so you won't have to wait too long.

For privacy disclosure, I also promise you that whatever you're telling me in private (via PM) will stay only between the two of us and I will not talk to anyone else about it.

Let's face this difficult kind of time together and do our best to get out of it well and safe.
Stay healthy and optimistic. ♥
Wicked Cherry.
