By that standard, Challenger doesn't mean anything because there are people that can get to it in 15-30 days.

I think it is more like you cannot "lose" mastery afaik whereas you can lose LP.

15-30 games ≠ 15-30 days, so that doesn't make any sense at all.

I agree it's a little disappointing if it's that easy to get, though realistically I suppose I should add I don't think I'd be able to master anyone if it required hundreds of games.

Yup this in a nutshell it just gives people something to do. Which is a fantastic thing about Champion Mastery, its just a nice addition for the causal players who have zero chance of ever getting challenger. "Hey I don't play a lot of League but I main X champion."

If we loose the Casuals players the game will slowly die off. So I'm all for a system that offers an incentive to keep playing. For most players that's Ranked, while for others it may just end up being the Champion Mastery system.

Well when there are currently 123 champions in the game, I am glad that champion mastery is actually obtainable in just a few games.

Since playing 20 games takes around 10-13 hours assuming each game lasts 30-40 minutes.
