in my point of view Ekko is a perfectionist, he said he wants to make the most out of every moment and if that means going back in time to make the fight perfect (not have a wall break, not get hit at all) then hes gonna do it
his character isnt meant to have the best fighting style or the biggest weapon he wins fights by going back in time to make them perfect, hes not using the time machine as a "get out of jail free card" hes using it to make the most out of every second he can, and before you say "oh but he used some seconds to make faces and emotions!" think about how boring the video would be if it only showed him fighting and then be done, they are trying to sell the champion to people so theyre going to give him some personality
either way i think hes going to have a mechanic like LeBlancs jump except without jumping he makes a spot and can go back to that spot for a short time

Knowing Riot, it'll be a rip off of Weaver, with his Ult reverting him back to the HP/Mana/position he had 5 seconds before cast.

Also, I think the levels of immorality in this thread are astounding. You'd really throw a child off a boat for your own luggage? Wow.
Well, this is what I've concluded so far...
Sooo, this guy is your typical arrogant teenager with a twist! He has timey whimey time traveling powers woooooooohoooooo...
Apparently someone close to him died or something and he regretted not spending enough time with them so he magically found this hourglass thingy/built it/got it gifted to him by kyuubei/whatever and now he's obsessed with never wasting a moment so whenever he ****s up he goes back in time and tries random stuff again until he manages to win. SOMEHOW his body is returned to a previous, healthy state but all of his memories remain... Does it really work this way though? He showed signs of fatigue and injury, however minor. Maybe his body is slowly withering away after all? What If he's just living in denial, trying to achieve something using his new-found powers but deep down inside knowing that he can't live forever and doesn't have unlimited re-tries... He keeps saying how you need to use every second to the maximum of your ability, but he's wasting away his own "seconds".
...Or he's just a typical teenager who's got powers and happens to be a perfectionst, which would definitely align more with rito's lore :D
I still can't see the appeal; maybe it just isn't for me. I do appreciate character flaws when portrayed seamlessly, but this just seems thrown together quickly in order to accommodate the in-game champion design.
Oh, and the video was already boring. If they showed expressions while he was moving instead having him stop to groan at the bane wannabe it would've been less boring imo

This is a teaser.... You're thinking/looking far too much into this, especially for a League of Legends champion. I mean, where the hell were you for every other champion reveal? lol jking.
Seriously though, it's a teaser. And it's Riot games.

I just really like characters with time altering powers and it irks me that they combined such a concept with a... typical teenager? :(

Normally, I'm the one to jump down Riot's throat for terrible character lore. But this right here; How the heck were you able to determine that from just the trailer? It sounds a bit ageist to me. A perfectionist, at any age with that power, would probably do what this kid in this trailer would've done. I'm completely confused how you dragged that out of this trailer.
I'm going to chalk it up to personal opinion, but how you drew that conclusion from this is beyond me. It's like being able to determine that Riven was going to be a whiny ***** based on her splash art. Let more info come out first before you draw such a conclusion, because I think you're being Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too conclusive with very little evidence. It really kills the appreciation for the animation/scene. Pretty sure if you were at my college and made such a remark, everyone would be laughing. That or giving you blank stares. That's kind of what I'm doing right now actually.
