I would assume the idea is that rushing tear makes Kass too weak until he gets some real items going, while building Athene's instead after RoA gives RoA some time to stack, and the mana regen (including the 30% restore on kill/assist) helps make up for the lack of tear, while 20% CDR will greatly increase his mobility, which is the whole point in picking Kassadin.
Tear is awful on kass. Athenes is arguably even worse. Kassadin either picks between roa or athenes first, and roa is almost always the better choice. If you go both you dont ever do damage. Ill take a void staff over athenes any ****ing day. If you have blue and/or hit champs with W in fights, ur fine on mana. Cdr is mega overkill on kass, and is unnecessary if you have zhonyas. Roa tear is already an abandoned build by almost all good kass players due to the ramp up time
Urgot with new cleaver is an abomination. Need to see more kalista to determine effects of the nerf, but a champ with that much damage, cc, and mobility is usually very hard to ruin with 1 nerf

Kalista's back jump got nerfed, so her kiting just became really weak, she's T2. And, Urgot, Urgot is everything that's wrong with an AD Carry, he's T3 in bot lane. Until he gets his re-work, keep that trash out of my lane. :P
