Asus also made a Free-Sync screen with the same IPS panel.

I am 95% sure I already know the answer, but will it be possible to get Free-Sync to work within a larger span on this monitor(or any other monitor) later on? I am planning to buy a 980ti and a monitor and don't really feel like targeting only 90fps.

On this monitor? No. It's hardware-based.
On future monitors? Definitely.
There will without a doubt be FreeSync monitors with full adaptive sync frequency spans. The problem is currently that these scalers aren't made specifically for handling adaptive sync, like the custom made one Nvidia is using for G-Sync. They've essentially just taken existing scalers and hacked in the adaptive sync functionality.
Scalers are what allows screens to use other resolutions than the native one, without one the screen would only work at the native resolution. The scaler also handles updating frequency, as you might have suspected.

ok, so I'd say it is either wait for something better, this one or this one.I am using the brithish amazon because it is english, both monitors are pretty much the same price on the german amazon(~505€).
It is a choice between 1440p and G-Sync and I am pretty unsure what to do.

I wanna buy a new monitor, but I don't know too much about he current market situation for monitors, so I need some help.
I don't wanna spend more than 500€, but I could spend more money if there is a good reason to do so(absolute maximum is around 800€, but I don't wanna go anywhere near that).
Is it unrealistic to ask for a monitor with 3 out of those things: 1440p, IPS panel, G-Sync, 144hz?
It would be great if you could find something that's 24 inch, but I can make 27 inch work and there seem to be more 27 inch monitors with the features I want. Don't go any bigger though.
Thanks in advance!
