Yeah the big downside of doing this game on a forum scale is that you actually would need people to respond daily.

Would people be interested in Werewolf/Mafia game here at the forums? It's basically the same as Town of Salem but as a forum game.
I played this a while back over on SmiteFire, and I have talked about having an interest in hosting a mafia game over here on Mobafire back when I hosted the Coin Games, but I never got around to it :P

This.
But if if enough people were interested in it I could probably find the time to host it, also if we made the day/voting phase last 48 hours, it could easily be done.
Here is the set of rules we used over on SmiteFire we called it the Worgens of Pyrewood for some reason, but it was basically Mafia. Rules and Classes I would of course change some classes around, from the way this guy did it, but it worked.
Here is the link to the first round we played on SmiteFire Worgens Round 1 It went on for about two weeks so yeah it would be quite the endeavor but it would be lots of fun to give it a go.
but it would really only work if we got 10-15 people willing to play it out.
EDIT

ive done them before and they arnt that fun especially if someone gets the werewolf and happens to take a few days off from mobafire and halts the game for everyone
The way we handled that problem was just have anyone who took a 72 hour leave die off from a mysterious illness, and we would have to have more then one werewolf so that way the game wouldn't break if one leaves, if they all leave then we just end the game, start a new one and not invite them back.

It's surely possible, but the biggest issue is random people who aren't even in the game could post regardless. You'd basically need to ask the admins to make a seperate subforum, invite only.
If all that works out I'm in for sure, I remember back in the old days I used to play it on the Prime Squadron forums (a Wolfenstein ET forum) and I had a blast doing it :) Even hosted one as the story teller!
EDIT: How to Jester 101: Say that you are a Spy, fail the enivitable test they will give you (repeat someone's whisper), get lynched because you are a liar.

what I usually do is say something like:
"Let's have a quiz, if you fail to answer correctly, you will die. Random question here"
I saw one guys doing this and it has worked 3 out of 3 times so far.
