A better alternative would be giving us one free dodge a day. I often see where games are heading in champ select due to player behavior, and would prefer to dodge then be stuck in a game with those people and their attitudes.
Why would we need to mulligan a loss, unless there were AFKs or something? It's rather pointless. There have been suggestions such as a mercy system in the case of DC/AFK/Trolls, but ultimately, it, and every other similar system was deemed abusable and not able to be fair.
My above suggestion wouldnt be too bad, might see an increase in dodges, but I dont mind that in ranked. I'd rather people, or myself, dodge in a situation they dont feel like they can win, instead of *****ing about it the entire game, or in post lobby.

So... It's basically like using the "Play again" button, but only so that you know that you will get your LP back? If it's intended to be with the same 9 other guys (or 4 if it's only for your team) you'll also need the consent of all of them, so I'm assuming you're not proposing that. To be honest it seems balanced for promotion series and either broken or useless for the 0-100 LP part.

well the issue for me is sometimes or rather fairly often you just don't see a bad game coming.
the game that brought this on the pre game was actually pretty good. everyone was friendly and the like but things went south after the game started. I lost lane pretty hard and on of the friendlier guys started *****ing because "mid lane KS'd me" and ended up AFKing. it was a complete 180 from the pregame. while you are right in some regards, I'd rather have a fix for when things go south, because it inevitably will.

3 lp is pretty much free to begin with so it'd only make sense for promo games.
Then again, in promo games it can be abused as well by just duoing with a friend and having two possible rerolls every day on teamcomps.

Easily turned around: if you believe you deserve a mulligan, so should your duo friend. Hence, it'd blow both player's mulligan. Same for ranked teams, you can only mulligan if none has done it in the previous ~22h. There should probably be an icon/warning somewhere on team lobby (before select) saying if you have it or not.

After a particularly bad ranked game (or any lost game really) you can elect to Mulligan it and basically have a do over. But knowing that this kind of feature is way too over powered I thought up of some restrictions to help balance it out.
-a Mulligan can only be taken in the Results screen: you know. a little common sense here
-One Mulligan every 22 Hours: the odd hours is mostly to keep in line with the "First win" timer. but that's pretty much all there is to it.
-MMR Stays after a loss: the Mulligan should only be used to restore lost LP not MMR. Also the loss stays on your Match history and record.
-Disabled during Promotion series: because, again, it would be fairly OP. take a loss wait for the cycle and try again.
so there it is. go ahead and break it.
