Yes, won't work with the latest generation motherboards. I agree by the way about recycling storage (although I generally don't prefer using an old storage drive as my main boot drive in a second system) and case (if possible, because a lot of cases don't have good ventilation or can't fit longer GPU's).
@Searz: I haven't seen OTG's system, but lets not forget that it's often necessary to upgrade power supply as well (assuming he's coming from a pre-built system with ****py PSU), + swapping motherboard also means you need to get a new OS.
I'd suggest to continue this in the PC thread though, so if anyone has any further remarks please post there :)

You do understand that it's unreasonable and annoying to point it out, and nag people about it right? Especially if you're derailing just fix someone's grammar. Especially if that grammar fix is pointless.

I don't care :P
OTG got it. It does make a lot more sense to use it after.
Also, OTG, not sure if you've noticed, but your current rig should run Fallout 4 just fine at lower qualities (low-medium). It should run the game comparably to a console, probably even better. So it makes very little sense to get a console for it.

Well, he'll be using a more power-efficient CPU, so even if his GPU will draw more power that should be compensated for by lower CPU power-draw. Still might be worth just checking the wattage on the PSU to make sure.
And yeah, new OS.. *cough*****microsoftjustpirateit*cough*

Yeah, you're right. I'll be moving my last comment there.
