What's your approach to Bard support? What sort of expectation should a team have on him in soloQ?

Every since falling head over heels in Love with Nami, I have been looking for a Aggressive/Utility support so I don't get burnt out, I would love to hear some recommendations, So far Karma and Zyra look great, But I'd like to hear your thoughts on this before I spend time and hard-earned IP on anything, Thanks in advance! <3

I think that karma is the most aggressive support that can still be called a support and not just a mage.
If I helped you out, be sure to throw me a +Rep!

This question is too vague for me to answer, can you rephrase?

Sona/Lulu are quite similar in playstyle, karma and zyra are a lot less 'supportive'

I think he wants to say "What do you say about Bard in general? What should he do in SoloQ to meet his teammates' expectations?", I think.
Thanks LaCorpse for the sig!

If he wants me to answer the question he should reformulate the question himself because above isn't how I would directly interpret it. I don't want to waste my time on answering a completely different question.

What are your thoughts on Shen as a support now that the dust around him is more or less settled? Better or worse than pre-rework? What lanes should he best deal with, or fair poorly against? Also, which ADCs should he best be paired with?

Would be a good question if I had actually seen him support more than once. In general my impression is that his laning phase as support is pretty terrible in general (I don't think he has a single winning matchup) but in terms of global pressure he still offers the same - his core gameplay remains similar: passive 1-5 (you can initiate trades but you generally lose them) and try to create picks with ult. To do so, having an ADC that is self-sufficient is important (i.e. you can roam without the ADC losing all cs) like sivir/ezreal/lucian.

I ask because I've been having some success with it. It seems like his potential to snowball is much higher than it was previously as a support. I take it the loss of his ability to at least poke worsened his state in lane, however?

Honestly I don't know jack about new Shen in general because I've only played against him once in botlane and another one/two times in toplane. The poke on his Q was worthless and that didn't really change, my impression is simply that he has less presence than before in one way or another - I can't judge other things with my current state of knowledge so I won't.
